We’re delighted to announce that German Kraft Brewery has been announced as the operator of the newly renovated Model Market site, which will open late summer 2026.
A vibrant, all-day hub for traders, local creatives and the wider community, the Model Market will transition seamlessly from a morning coffee and co-working hotspot, to a creative retail and evening entertainment destination.
As operators, German Kraft will bring its signature craft beer and famously social, community-led taproom atmosphere to the reimagined space. Watch this space for the imminent announcement of their curated list of street food traders!

The arrival of Model Market marks an important milestone for Lewisham Shopping Centre. Not only will it see the creation of new jobs and a space for an exciting list of new traders, it will elevate the guest experience – offering a vibrant space for young creatives, professionals, families and everyone in between.
The vast range of culinary outlets will be matched by a diverse lineup of DJ sets, live music, pop-ups, events and cultural programming that celebrate the intersection of food, art, and community. A rooftop wellness area will further enhance the experience, creating space for relaxation, movement and connection.
