Local poet Helen Bowell will be hosting two free drop-in workshops on:

Free – All ages welcome, no experience needed

Get crafty this Christmas as Helen guides you through making your own unique cut-up greetings cards using magazines, winter poems and seasonal inspiration. You’ll also have the chance to write your own poems, with plenty of prompts to spark ideas for writers of all ages.

This relaxed, family-friendly workshop is open to everyone — just drop in and get creative! Please note that children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

These workshops are delivered in partnership with Spread the Word, a Lewisham-based charity supporting underrepresented writers and helping communities connect through stories. While the event is free, donations are warmly welcomed. Spread the Word is taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, which means any donation you make will be doubled — helping fund more free literature and storytelling activities in Lewisham next year.
